2026 Fundraiser

Az Fire of Life is a group of 34 individual fire performance artists in Arizona who came together to create a performative piece to share in the great circle at the Big Burn this year. We are beyond grateful and excited for the opportunity to share this piece! We have all been working incredibly hard for months and we did it! We have been accepted into the great circle to come and share with you all! All of the hard work, late-night rehearsals and sacrifices made for this project were all worth it.

Our first time at big burn was in 2023 and we are back for a second time! Most of our troupe is pretty new to the camping and experiences on playa. Thankfully, we have a few experienced friends and teammates who are helping guide us along the way. Now that it is a reality we are going and we get to perform, that also came with the reality of the cost. Times in general have been hard for many of us, struggling to keep ourselves above water as it is. It's no secret Big Burn is expensive. On average one person spends approximately $2000 on a budget between tickets, travel, food, camps, supplies, etc. As a troupe, we need to also do maintenance on our props, more fuel, and replace some of our safety equipment before the burn. (Thats about $6,800-$10,000 total to safely get us all there safely) We dont expect everything to be covered, but anything helps right now, Any help offered to assist in giving all 34 of us a chance to go to the burn, have this experience, perform and do what we love would be very appreciated.
